InvoiceInk is provided by Clarity Technologies, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data InvoiceInk handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal data.
We process your account data because you asked us to provide the service, and on the other legitimate grounds the law allows.
AI features are off until an owner or admin turns them on for an organization, under Settings → AI features. When they are on and you use one, such as drafting an invoice from a message or document, writing an email, or suggesting a tax code, the text, files and invoice details involved are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to produce the result. Under its commercial terms Anthropic does not use this content to train its models. Results are suggestions: nothing is saved or sent until someone reviews it. The documents you draft from are not stored by InvoiceInk; a draft is kept for up to 30 minutes so you can open it.
If you connect an AI assistant under Settings → Connect AI tools, it can read, but never change, the data of the organization you are currently in, for as long as it stays connected. You can disconnect it on that page at any time.
We use the following service providers to run InvoiceInk. Each receives only what it needs for its task.
When you send an invoice, estimate or reminder, its recipients receive what you send. A shared document link lets anyone holding it view that document until the link expires after 30 days.
We may disclose data when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us. If our business is reorganized or transferred, data may move with it under the same protections.
Your data is stored in India. Some providers above process it outside India, in line with the transfers Indian law permits.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account is deleted, along with any organization you own that has no other members. Copies in backups and logs expire after a limited period. Files prepared for emails are deleted within 48 hours.
Tax and accounting laws may require your business to keep invoices for several years. Keeping your own copies is your responsibility, so download what you need before deleting anything.
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and two-factor authentication is available. Access inside an organization follows its members' roles. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
You can ask us to:
You can update most account details and delete your account yourself from your profile. Where we rely on your consent you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect processing already done.
If your data was added to InvoiceInk by a business that invoices you, please contact that business first; we will help it respond.
We use only the cookies InvoiceInk needs to work: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a security token that protects forms, an optional "remember me" cookie, and one that remembers your light or dark theme.
InvoiceInk is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
For questions, requests or complaints about your personal data, write to our Grievance Officer at support@claritytech.io. We will acknowledge your message promptly and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
